In order to meet its clients’ expectations, ELSTA sp. z o.o., decided to extend its offer with two-module standardised switchgears with type test.  As soon as it was awarded with SIEMENS SIVACON TECHNOLOGY PARTNER, ELSTA sp. z o.o. initiated licence production and sales of low-voltage Sivacon 8PT switchgears manufactured by SIEMENS.

SIVACON 8PT is suitable for all power levels: from supply switchgears (Power Center) with rated current up to 6300 A, through main switchgears and sub-switchgears to MCC motor switchgears, with building-in options: permanent, pin-type or sliding-out, with communication systems if necessary.

In the scope of partnership with SIEMENS, ELSTA sp z o.o. provides consulting, design and assembly services.  When needed, we prepare detailed offers regarding deliveries or replacement of existing switching equipment with modern SIVACON 8PT switchgears.

ELSTA designers’ and process engineers’ qualifications allow them to adapt switchgears to Investor’s local needs and capacities, and offer warranty conditions identical to those offered by SIEMENS.

SIVACON 8PT – universal low-voltage switchgear

SIVACON 8PT low-voltage switchgear is a switching device offered in sets with complete type tests (TTA), in compliance with the PN-EN 60439-1 standard.  The Buyer is always sure that all elements affecting durability, reliability and safety have been thoroughly checked during complete type tests, and completed and delivered unit was manufactured and checked by ELSTA Sp. z o.o. according to the procedures established by SIEMENS - world leader in the low-voltage switching equipment sector.

SIVACON 8PT characteristics are as follows:

  • Upper collecting bus system, 3 and 4-pole to 7400A;
  • High short-circuit strength, up to 375 kA;
  • Bus bridges and connections in main circuits have manufacturer’s life-time warranty;
  • Option to communicate with SENTRON 3WL/3VL and SIMOCODE pro via PROFIBUS

SIVACON 8PT – comprehensive safety
Switchgear design guarantees comprehensive service safety of supplied devices and surrounding systems.  Modular structure of output fields allows for internal compartment divisions, which practically eliminate probability of contact with live elements.

Sliding-out and pin systems allow for servicing individual modules in voltage-less condition, without disconnecting power supply for the whole (or part of) switchgear.

Collecting and switching bus system is designed so that occurrence probability for internal short-circuits is negligible.  In case of arc discharge occurrence, housing protects operators and environment from its effects. Applied protective measures prevent from spreading of potential arc discharges.

All solutions applied in switchgears have been examined during complete type tests, and all strategic points, which may impair device durability, reliability and safety are being checked during production.

SIVACON switchgears may be provided with earthing cartridges and system earthing units satisfying requirements of applicable standards and regulations.
